The Print Shop offers an exciting year-long internship at my school for students who have successfully completed the three-year graphic design pathway. In this collaborative environment, we all take on the role of designers, creating everything from stickers and apparel to posters. Each of us has our unique responsibilities, and I had the privilege of serving as a director of social media.
As one of the social media directors for The Print Shop's Instagram account, I had the privilege of collaborating with a partner to manage the page. Together, we regularly shared engaging stories and posts to inform our audience about The Print Shop’s pop-up's. We also highlighted our latest products and promotions, ensuring our followers were always in the loop.
As one of the dedicated designers for The Print Shop, I had several opportunities to take on specific jobs that showcased my skills and creativity. Among the various projects I committed to, one notable task was the design of the PDS Family Logo. This project allowed me to apply my design expertise while also understanding the importance of crafting a visual identity that resonates with the family's values. Overall, this experience contributed significantly to my professional growth and portfolio.
This internship has significantly contributed to enhancing my creativity, allowing me to think outside the box and explore innovative approaches to problem-solving. I've also gained valuable experience in collaboration and communication while working with my teams on various projects. Additionally, my time here has taught me the importance of adaptability in a fast-paced environment/time restraints. Embracing new challenges has not only refined my skill set but also boosted my confidence in taking on future endeavors.
At our pop-up store, we take on shifts and roles to make sure the shop runs smoothly. Our roles include baggers who manage purchases, bouncers who ensure a safe and enjoyable atmosphere, store associates who cater to customers’ needs, and cashiers who process transactions. Together, we work together to deliver a shopping experience that keeps our customers returning and again. We strive to make each visit unforgettable and enjoyable for everyone involved.
